SAFE SUMMER CYCLING:
Hot summer cycling tips to help you stay safe bicycling in the
summer heat. You need to be prepared to keep your self safe. Summertime offers
many cycling dangers including the potential to suffer a heat stoke if not
prepared.

Drink plenty
of water: when cycling you will lose a lot of moisture through
your skin. It is important to keep your body hydrated by drinking lots of
water, which can be stored in a bottle that clips neatly to your bicycle
frame.

Keep the sun off your head:
wearing a bike helmet is essential for safety, but in the summer sun it also
helps provide shade.

Take breaks: If you feel
you are getting too hot while cycling then stop. Make sure you pull over to
the side of the road safely, away from traffic.

Be seen:
although it does not get dark until late in the summer, do not
get caught out without your lights.

The Lincoln Park store
is located in Downtown Lincoln Park, on Fort Street two blocks south of
Southfield Road. Just blocks from I-75, Southfield exit. We specialize
in bicycles for the family. Our 13,000 square foot store has ample stock
of comfort bikes, hybrids, mountain bikes, and cruisers. Also in stock
are bicycles and tricycles for the youngsters. Need a adult 3 wheeler,
we stock those too. Housed in the store are also specialty sections with
the areas largest stock of low-rider/chopper parts and our
BMX
ALLEY
stocking many of the better BMX parts and bikes. There is an extensive
parts inventory and our service department is experienced and
knowledgeable.
We host several custom bikes show
every year including are big show at the Detroit AutoRama. Our employees
are very active in the community and can be seen organizing groups for
local parades, hosting cruise nights, rides, and even barbeques for the
custom crowd. Our support is also there for the local riding club, the
Downriver Cycling Club. Find us as support at their yearly tour, the
